Sports injuries treatment and rehabilitation
Acute or traumatic soft tissue sporting injuries can be any sudden injury sustained on a sporting field, whereas a mechanical problem may take some time to eventually lead to pain and or an injury. Both acute soft tissue injuries and mechanical injuries/conditions respond much quicker when you are assessed and treated immediately after becoming aware of the injury or pain.On occasions you may require radiological investigations (x-ray, MRI , CT scan ultrasound etc) to confirm the extent of the injury. Examples of an acute injury could be any joint/ligament sprain , muscle tears, corks and joint dislocations. The most common mechanical injuries/conditions we see are tendonitis, patella maltracking, shin splints, bursitis, ITB syndrome and plantar fasciitis. Contact Physiotherapy's experienced physios are well qualified to assess and treat any of the aforementioned injuries or mechanical problems.
